Sustainable Communities
Nature's value is more than intrinsic—it's economic. The Socio-Ecological framework shows that excluding human context from conservation efforts often fails long-term. Without perceived value, nature becomes vulnerable to exploitation.
Our approach:
1. Engage local communities: When people see the forest's value, they become its guardians.
2. Motivate officials: Sustainable revenue encourages protection over exploitation.
3. Combat challenges: Address resource extraction and poaching threats.
Case study: Dja Faunal Reserve, Cameroon
Despite UNESCO World Heritage status, the reserve faces increasing threats. We're working to build relationships with local communities and government agencies, promoting sustainable investments that align with forest preservation across the region. This ongoing effort aims to secure the forest’s future while benefiting its stakeholders.
